And Many Shall Be Deceived

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Brothers and Sisters there are many false prophets abroad in the land today. They call themselves Christians but be aware these people may “talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk.” They have even taken to calling themselves “Evangelicals.”

These people are a product of the Postmodern Era which came into full being in the 1960’s. This era ushered in Liberalism as the last refuge of the Socialist-Communists Leftists and has now infiltrated the church with their Socialists ideology.

It became evident to these people that no matter how they twisted and perverted the Constitution they could not overcome the morality of the Religious Right. After the elections of 2000, 2002 and especially 2004, they knew they had to change their plan of attack. They decided that attacking Christianity from the outside was having little to no effect. Their new strategy is to attack it from within.

Brothers and Sisters, look upon one of the most dangerous men in America today, Jim Wallis, President and Executive Director of  Sojourners/Call to Renewal.

Jim Wallis is a bestselling author, public theologian, preacher, speaker, activist, and international commentator on ethics and public life. His latest book, God’s Politics: Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get It (HarperCollins, 2005), was on The New York Times bestseller list for four months. He is president and executive director of Sojourners/Call to Renewal, where he is editor-in-chief of Sojourners magazine—whose print and electronic publication reaches more than 250,000 people—and also convenes a national network of churches, faith-based organizations, and individuals working to overcome poverty in America.

Jim Wallis speaks at more than 200 events each year and his columns have appeared in major newspapers such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Boston Globe, among others. He appears regularly on radio and television programs, including Meet the Press, Hardball, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The O’Reilly Factor, and National Public Radio. In addition, Jim Wallis teaches a course at Harvard University on “Faith, Politics, and Society,” and is the author of eight books, including Faith Works; The Soul of Politics: A Practical and Prophetic Vision for Change; Who Speaks for God? A New Politics of Compassion, Community, and Civility; and Call to Conversion.

Mr. Wallis is at the tip of the spear of the “Social Justice” movement, an offshoot of the “Social Gospel” movement of the early 19th Century. That movement has been given new life under Mr. Wallis and his Sojourners/Call to Renewal banner. He professes to be a Christian Pastor and a political non-partisan. He is very slick, well spoken and knowledgeable; but then so is Satan.

 Mr. Wallis and his cohorts call themselves “Red Letter Christians” (follow the link to see who these false prophets are) Their stated purpose is:

The Red Letter Christians are a network of effective, progressive, Christian communicators urging an open, honest and public dialogue on issues of faith and politics. We believe and seek to put into action the red letter words in the Holy Bible spoken by Jesus. The goal of the group is to advance the message that our faith cannot be reduced to only two hot button social issues - abortion and homosexuality.  Fighting poverty, caring for the environment, advancing peace, promoting strong families, and supporting a consistent ethic of life are all critical moral and biblical values

Now all that sounds well and good, who can argue against “Fighting poverty, caring for the environment, advancing peace, promoting strong families”? Well my friends it is not what they say they are for, it is their programs that belie their stated agenda. In order for Christians to follow these heretics we must tear out whole sections of the Bible.

First we must discard “Thou shall not kill” because abortion is a woman’s right. Then we have to throw out all the scriptures that mention homosexuality (sodomy) because sodomites can be Christians too. Next we do away with the sovereignty of men because women have as much right in the pulpit as men and if they are Lesbians so much the better. How do we foster strong families when homosexuals “marry”? Heather has two mommies.…sure that will work.

Read between the lines folks… these people are not what they purport to be.
